New pilgrims city planned in Makkah

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia plans to construct a new pilgrim city in Makkah to service pilgrims who visit the city for Haj and Umrah, Arab News reported.

The city will be built on the lines of the recently announced 1.6 million sqm pilgrim city in Madina.

The plan includes offices for foreign Haj missions as modern facilities and services required by pilgrims, in addition to housing, offices of Umrah companies, museums, exhibition venues and heritage markets will be part of the city.
