(MENAFN) French Sofitel stated that the luxury hotel brand would open a five-star hotel in Riyadh, the Saudi capital, reported Arabian Business.
The property, which is expected to open in 2015, will be part of a joint venture between Sofitel brand operator Accor and the King Abdullah International Foundation.
Sofitel said that the hotel is part of a major complex, developed over an area of around 100,000 sq m, which would also include the headquarters of the Foundation, a mosque and a convention center.
The hotel will consist of 400 rooms and suites, 6 food and beverage outlets, meeting facilities, a swimming pool, and a spa.
It is worth noting that Sofitel, which is forecasted to launch a property in Dubai in July 2013, operates 4 hotels in the Gulf region.
