(MENAFN) Jeddah Islamic Sea Port signed a contract with Nesma Electric to supply a 110/13.8 KV Substation close to the sea port authority building, Saudi Gazette reported.
The contract comes as the activity in the port is surging which led to concerns that local systems will not be able to withstand the increased load.
Around 225 MVA will be added to the current system which will significantly reduce the possibility of financial losses due to electricity outages.
