(MENAFN) NMC Group’s founder, Dr BR Shetty, announced that the firm may expand its presence in the region through establishing new hospitals in Saudi and Qatar, reported Arabian Business.
Shetty added that the new facilities will be launched in around 3 years’ time, however, the medical group doesn’t have anything planned yet.
On the other hand, he said that in the second half of 2012, the company will launch a USD24.50 million private maternity hospital in Abu Dhabi, the first in the country. The facility will comprise 100 beds.
Moreover, NMC will open a day-care centre in Mussafah and a general hospital in Dubai Investments Park (DIP).
It is worth noting that in order to fund USD330 million expansion plans, earlier this year; Dr Shetty decided to float 30 percent of the healthcare segment of the business on the London Stock Exchange.
