(MENAFN) The US National Association of Realtors (NAR) announced that in the 12 months to March 2012, the number of Middle East purchasers investing in the US property market rose by 6.3 percent to nearly 2,577, reported Arabian Business.
NAR noted that the number represented 2.5 percent of total international buyers in the US during the period, up from 2.3 percent in the 12 months to March 2011.
The association said that the total number of non-US purchasers reached 206,192 during the 12 months to March 2012 period, marking a drop of 2.1 percent from a year earlier.
It is worth noting that in the 12-month period, the value of sales jumped 24 percent to USD82.5 billion as US real estate prices started to recover.
