(MENAFN) According to the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism, the number of Saudi tourists to Egypt increased in June, according to Arab New.

The total Saudi visitors to Egypt reached 35,210 in June 2014, an increase of 2.3 percent compared to June 2013, in which the total number of tourists hit 34,426.

The increasing was due to the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and the Egyptian Tourism Authority’s new campaign named “Wahashtona”.

The created campaign aims to increase Arab tourists to Egypt, including competitive packages and special offers targeting tourists from across the GCC.

The areas which witnessed the highest tourists number include South Sinai and Red Sea governorates.
