(MENAFN) According to a senior official, Oman announced that it is awarding a contract of construction for Omagine project, with a value reaching to USD2.3 billion.
The project will be located in Seeb and close to the Muscat International Airport, featuring seven pearl-shaped buildings with each manifesting a theme of Oman’s history and culture.
The project is expected to be wrapped up by the end of September or early October. It will be established in six or seven phases, first the hotel, then the pearl buildings and then the residential complex.
“We have been very busy with world renowned master planners, architects, engineers, and have also been working on finalizing the construction contract,” Chairman of Omagine Inc. said.
