(MENAFN) Oman will build two main water desalination plants, one each in Muscat and the North Batinah region to meet growing demand for potable water in northern area.
Moreover, many sites are under consideration for 60m imperial gallons per day, which is predicted to start working by 2021.
Meanwhile, another 44 MIGD-capacity project to meet the growing demand in the Northern Batinah and Dhahirah areas to start operations by 2022.
In addition, annual water demand in the northern region will increase in the region of 5 percent to 7 percent for the coming seven years.
