(MENAFN) Oman Air has boosted its fleet with two additional Boeing 737-800s, bringing the airline’s total fleet strength to 30, Times of Oman reported.
Both wet-leased aircraft will be used to double daily services from Oman to the Indian cities of Chennai, Delhi, and Hyderabad.
In addition, the frequency of flights from Muscat to Pakistan’s Lahore and Muscat to Islamabad is being increased to offer a daily service.
In November 2012, the Sultanate signed an MoU with both India and Pakistan to boost services, in response to an increase in demand for the routes.
With a seating capacity for 12 business-class passengers and 150 passengers in economy class, the additional aircraft will enable Oman Air to meet the increasing need for travel abroad.
