(MENAFN) Boeing Co. the American airplane maker giant has booked 20 company orders for its 737 MAX single-aisle aircraft from Oman Air.
The massive order almost doubles Oman Air’s 737 fleet which currently owns and operates a total of 21 Boeing 737 aircraft.
Moreover, the airline’s order includes conversions of six 737 NG planes to 737 MAX jets, for a net gain of 14 in Boeing’s order book.
It’s worth mentioning that Oman Air has no Airbus A320s, plus Boeing and rival Airbus are battling for market share in the large single-aisle market.
