(MENAFN) Oman Air unveiled plans to operate 36 extra flights linking Muscat and Salalah during the Eid Al Adha holiday period, Times of Oman reported.
This increase in flight services will amount to 206 extra flights during the
festive season, said the flag carrier.
Oman Air said the extra flights strategy reflects the company’s efforts to promote Dhofar as ideal tourist destination throughout the year for visitors both from inside and outside the Sultanate.
It added the additional flights will absorb up to 40 percent of the passengers travelling on the route after the exceptional growth in demand, thereby increasing seat occupancy factor to 88 percent during the Kharif season in the Governorate Dhofar.
During Ramadhan and Eid Al Fitr period, Oman Air operated 163 additional flights, providing 55,000 seats to facilitate travelling to Dhofar.
