24 Nov 2013

(MENAFN) The Omani Ministry of Transport and Communications inked 13 agreements to develop roads with a total cost of USD1.4 billion, Times of Oman reported.

Three of the 13 contracts were for the construction of 136km of the 265km-long Batinah Expressway for USD1 billion.

“The importance of these projects is that it will be seen as an expansion of Muscat Expressway and existing Batinah road and it will connect Oman with other neighbouring countries,” said the minister of transport and communications.
