(MENAFN) The World Economic Forum (WEF) released its Global Competitiveness Report for 2013-2014 showing that Oman ranked 33rd, Times of Oman reported.
The report examines competitiveness of 148 economies by reading efficiency enhancers, innovation and requirements for making businesses.
The report shows that the Sultanate improved in all three categories used for judging competitiveness.
Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development, Dr Salem bin Nasser Al Ismaily, said: “Oman has made great strides forward in becoming an attractive business destination and partner.”
The top three countries on the report were Switzerland, Singapore and Finland. In the Middle East region, Qatar ranked 13 and the UAE ranked 19.
