Oman sets up debit card payment gateway project

(MENAFN) The Central Bank of Oman has launched a national debit card payment gateway infrastructure for e-commerce transactions, which ensures highest quality payments.

Furthermore, the project offers safe and secure e-commerce transactions, coincided with the country”s National Day on Nov 18.

OmanNet is a National Switch platform in the country that routes automated teller machine (ATM) and point of sale (POS) transactions among the country.

In addition, the gateway will process national debit card transactions, on a simple, but versatile platform that will ease merchants in the Sultanate.
