(MENAFN) Oman plans to build a USD60 billion sub-sea pipe from Iran to transfer natural gas to the Sultanate, according to Tehran Times.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between the two countries last August by Iran’s Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh and his Omani counterpart Mohammed bin Hamad al-Rumhy.
Oman expects its natural gas imports from Iran to reach 50 percent of its total imports by 2038.
