(MENAFN) Oman’s demand for water growing at 6 percent per annum, a proposal has been proclaimed for building another major independent water project.
Moreover, Oman Power and Water Procurement Co. floated tender seeking bids from consultancy firms to offer financial and commercial services.
The Sultanate aims to build two independent water projects in Duqm and Khasab and will meet the growing demand for potable water in the interior regions.
In addition, the project is predicted to start operations in the fourth quarter of 2019, while the Khasab project is predicted to start operating in the same period of 2019.
