Oman to construct new national railway for USD15.5 b

(MENAFN) Reports said on Monday that Oman announced a new national railway project that will be ready to operate after one single phase instead of three, according to Arabian Business.

The project is expected to cost about USD15.5 billion and extend along 2.244 kilometers across the country.

Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications said: “We are in the process of reviewing and evaluating the tenders and hope that by the end of this month, we will send our recommendations to the Tender Board to process these further.”
