Oman to improve 8 aquaculture projects

04 Jan 2017

(MENAFN) Oman’s Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries will proclaim the names of the winners of large-scale commercial aquaculture projects at 8 sites.

Accordingly, the firm will know about the successful applications and then start their feasibility studies and apply for environmental permits.

Meanwhile, a commercial license will be given to the winning firms after they conduct their studies and receive environmental permits.

The Sultanate is aiming 200.000 tons of high-value fish per annum from aquaculture projects by 2030, which are for export and the local market.
