Oman to phase out the oldest power and water project by 2018

(MENAFN) According to sector authorities, the Sultanate’s first gas-power generation and water desalination plant in Muscat, will be retired by 2018 in Q3.
The scheduled retiring of the nation”s oldest power and water utility, brings the development of the Sultanate’s gas-based power generation and water sector.
Moreover, this project helped fuel the modernization of the capital region, as well as the growth of surrounding townships.
