(MENAFN) Dividend payout in Omani listed companies is expected to hit USD875.5 million this month, Times of Oman reported.
The payout is expected to up trading activity as almost half of the money is projected to come back to the local bourse as reinvestment.
Head of Research at Gulf Baader Capital Markets said: “The overall estimated dividend payout of Omani companies for 2013 is to the tune of OMR338 million (USD875.5m), which indicates a 10 per cent growth over OMR290 million (USD751.2m) paid by the companies in 2012.”
The dividend payout ratio on the Muscat Securities Market is around 50 percent as profit by the listed companies must have came at a combined net profit of around USD2 billion.
