(MENAFN) Bank credit to the private sector increased by almost 12 percent to OMR19.7bn at the end of Oct this year, over the same period of 2015.
Additionally, total deposits posted an increase of 5 percent to OMR20.5bn at the end of the cited month of the recent year.
Moreover, the share of households was 49 percent of the total private sector deposit base, trailed by non-financial corporation at 28.3 percent.
Meanwhile, the total outstanding credit increased by all financial institutions, involving Islamic banks, reached OMR21.9bn at the end of the cited month.
