Oman’s construction sector to grow 6.3 percent

(MENAFN) The partner at Trowers & Hamlins’ Oman office said that with a 6.3 percent projected growth in the construction and projects industry; it is an amazing time for the infrastructure projects in the country, according to Times of Oman.

Delivering an opening address at the two-day Master class under the theme ‘Delay, Dispute Resolution and Management of Construction Contracts’, she said, “The message coming out of Oman is positive – a good mix of active projects and projects coming online. It is good to note that the focus has been on key areas like infrastructure (social, economic, and civil), tourism and utilities and support. The plan is development of linear and hub projects and it is just a matter of time in putting the dots together. There are challenges and issues which need to be looked into as well.”

She further said, “Infrastructure is a necessity, it drives commerce and industry, promotes economic growth and will put Oman on the international map.”
