(MENAFN) The total production of electricity and water in the Sultanate of Oman has recorded a significant increase at the end of July, official data showed.
The total electricity output increased to more than 18.088 GW, logging a 12.9 percent increase, compared to the production recorded last year.
The same applies to the water sector in which the production grew to exceed 190.5 million cubic metres with an increase of 6.2 per cent, according to the National Centre forStatistics and Information.
The Governorates of North and South Al Sharqiyah recorded the highest rate in the production level compared to the level recorded during 2014. The increase in these two governorates reached 161.3 percent.
