(MENAFN) The Sultanate of Oman registered a decrease of 7.9 percent in total merchandise exports in the January-March period, hitting USD13.31 million, Times of Oman reported.
The first-quarter figures were down from USD14.45 million registered in the same period last year.
The decrease caused mainly by the fall in oil and gas exports, which reached USD8.73 million in the cited period, with a fall of 9.3 percent in comparison with 2013.
Meanwhile, non-oil exports registered an increase of 23.4 percent, rising to USD2.61 billion compared to USD 2.11 billion in 2013.
