Oman’s Galfar to construct a USD24.7m substation

(MENAFN) Oman Electricity Transmission Company has awarded a 24.7 million contract to Galfar Engineering and Contracting Company to set up Al Kamil and Al Wafi 132/33 KV substation, the Construction Week reported.

The, contract, to be executed in 17 months, is an addition to Galfar’s order book which has jumped to USD1.8 billion, including key projects, the company said.

Galfar is engaged in project management, engineering, procurement and construction in various areas, such as oil and gas and public infrastructure projects.

The company reported USD406.4 million during the first half of 2012, down from USD433.3 million a year earlier.
