(MENAFN) The Omani National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) said the annual inflation rate in the country came at 1.15 percent year-on-year in January, Times of Oman reported.
A report by the NCSI shows that the inflation in the Sultanate edged up 0.16 percent on month-on-month basis.
Food prices increase in January accounted for a large proportion of the inflation as they rose 3.38 percent from January last year.
Education and health costs increase increased 6.24 percent and 3.51 percent, respectively.
