(MENAFN) The National Centre for Statistics and Information stated that Oman’s inflation rose by 0.18 percent in June of the current year compared to the statistics recorded throughout last June, Times of Oman reported.
The inflation rate registered 0.51 percent increase compared to the figures recorded last May. The increasing prices of the main sets drove an increasing price index recorded in June 2015 compared to the index recorded during June 2014.
The prices of accommodation, water, gas and other fuel types increased with 0.68 percent while the prices of the transportation set reached 0.02 percent.
A decrease of 0.09 percent was recorded the prices of foodstuffs and non-alcoholic beverages set while the clothes and shoes set registered a 1.69 percent decrease in its prices.
Meanwhile, the prices of telecommunications set decreased by 0.17 percent, while the goods and various services set logged a 0.11 percent decrease.
