Oman’s LNG production reaches 8.5mn tons

(MENAFN) Oman LNG proclaimed that it produced 8.5mn tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) last year, against a production of 7.91mn tons in 2015 and an installed capacity of 10.4mn tons per annum.

Moreover, the firm’s NGLs (natural gas liquids) production reached 254.029 tons last year, while 133 cargoes of LNG were loaded from the firm”s plant in Sur last year.

Meanwhile, the company has received two spot cargoes of LNG to two regional destinations; Kuwait and Jordan in the cited year.

Additionally, its whole profit reached lower at USD1.925mn in 2016, down from USD2.612mn for the previous year, whereas net income after tax fell to USD566mn.
