Oman’s Majis signs EPC contract with joint venture

(MENAFN) Oman’s leading integrated industrial water solutions provider Majis Industrial Services has signed an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) with a joint venture, Times of Oman reported.

The USD70 million contract is for the construction of Sea Water Intake Pumping Station 2 (SWIPS2) at the Sohar industrial port area.

The company signed the contract with a joint venture formed by Spanish infrastructure firm Tecnicas Reunidas and the Belgian construction group BESIX’s Middle East arm Six Construct.

The contract, awarded through a tendering process, is expected to complete in 27 months.
