Oman’s Mazoon Dairy to start ops by late 2018

(MENAFN) Mazoon Dairy, the major dairy project in Oman, will start operations in the second half of 2018, while the firm has signed a deal with Abu Hatim Co. for enabling the site for the proposed project.

Moreover, the OMR100mn-dairy farm, which is predicted to generate 202mn liters in 2026 aims to house 25.000 cows over a period of 10 years.

Recently, 69 percent of the Sultanate’s demand for dairy products is met among imports, whereas 31 percent is produced by regional firms.

Accordingly, the firm’s goal is to produce almost 202mn liters in 2026, which will increase to 985mn liters in 2040.
