Oman’s natural gas for re-injection up 28.6 percent

(MENAFN) Oman’s oil and gas industry recorded a 28.6 percent increase in the volume of natural gas channelized towards oilfield re-injection last year.

On the other hand, an estimated 3.707bn cubic meter of gas was used for re-injection in the cited year, up from 2.882 bcm a year earlier.

Additionally, the re-injected volumes accounted for almost 11.2 percent of whole non-associated gas production, estimated at 32.800 bcm.

Meanwhile, gas volumes earmarked as fuel for power plants across the Sultanate jumped 4.1 percent to 8.324 bcm last year.
