Oman’s oil exports to China drop by 30pct in Jan

(MENAFN) Oman’s oil exports to China declined by 30 percent in Jan, as the Sultanate reduced its oil output from Jan to comply with a deal between OPEC and non-OPEC producers.

However, crude exports to China fell to 17.1mn barrels in Jan this year against 24.42mn barrels in the same month of 2016.

Through a decline in exports to china, Oman’s crude export to S. Korea surged by 788 percent to 4.44mn barrels in Jan this year from 500.500 barrels in Jan, 2016.

Accordingly, Russia, Oman and KSA were major suppliers to China in Dec, accounting for 14 percent, 10 percent and 10 percent of total crude supply to China, respectively.
