(MENAFN) Oman’s Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW) is set to launch a fully integrated, well-rounded automation system to secure the health of the Sultanate’s large water infrastructure, Oman Daily Observer reported.
The Public Authority will utilize a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system that will help in monitoring and managing potential leaks, breakdowns and other deficiencies in its expanding water networks.
Furthermore, the up-to-the-minute system will allow the Authority to spot unlawful intrusions into secure water-related facilities in operation at distant places around the Sultanate.
