Oman’s property contracts surge 42 percent in Jan-Sept

(MENAFN) Oman’s overall worth of real estate transactions recorded locally over the nine months to September increased 42 percent to USD8.2 as opposed to last year’s cited period, based on recent reports.

Transactions including property sales posted a 1.3 percent growth to reach a value of USD2.4 billion this year, while the ones involving properties under mortgage jumped 13.4 percent to 16,887 contracts this year.

According to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), 181,607 title deeds were issued by the end of Sept, indicating a 6.4 percent rise over the previous year’s equivalent score of 170,688 title deeds.
