(MENAFN) Oman’s real estate sector contributed in a sum of USD3.36 billion to the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) in 2014, said an official of the Oman Real Estate Association (ORA), Times of Oman reported.
The vice-chairman of ORA, a non-government organization dedicated to promoting professionalism in the real estate sector, said that real estate transactions in 2014 increased by 27 percent and stood at USD7.5billion compared to USD5.95billion in 2013.
Oman’s real estate sector accounted for 10 percent of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) last year. It also contributed with USD2.32 billion in 2009, according to the vice-chairman of ORA.
