(MENAFN) Data by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI), total trade value of the real estate sector in Oman reached USD6.44 billion in July, up 47.7 percent on-year.
The fees collected from all the legal transactions reached USD79.17 million, an increase of 20 percent. The traded value of selling contracts also increased 12.1 per cent to record USD2.02 billion.
The number of selling contracts decreased 3.4 percent. The traded value of mortgage contracts increased 72.6 percent totaling OUSD4.39 billion, compared to USD2.55 billion during 2014.
The traded value of exchange contracts was USD31.82 million till the end of last July, showing a significant hike of 83.6 percent, as compared to the 2014, when it logged USD17.33 million.
