Oman’s Sezad seeks to woo Italian investors

(MENAFN) The Special Economic Zone Authority of Duqm (Sezad) is seeking to encourage Italian investments in the Sultanate and Sezad as well as finding ways to increase areas of joint cooperation between the two countries, Times of Oman reported

Sezad announced it is organizing a seminar on investment opportunities at the port in Rome to accomplish this goal. The seminar will discuss several topics including highlighting investment opportunities, incentives, advantages and tax breaks that Sezad offers investors.

The seminar will also introduce Italian entrepreneurs and investors to the projects whicj have been completed at Sezad, as well as current and targeted projects, available opportunities in heavy and petrochemical industry sectors, along with tourism, residential, commercial and logistical projects.

Currently, there are nearly 40 Italian companies operating in the Sultanate, and there is a significant presence of Italian trademarks in Omani markets.
