Oman’s surplus hits record high in 2011

(MENAFN) Omani ministry of national economy said that the country had a record surplus back in 2011 amounting to RO964.8 million, reported Emirates 24/7.

The ministry cited the hike to a fifty nine percent increase in global oil prices and the country’s increased oil production.

The surplus was achieved despite an 8.8 percent increase in actual expenditures which hit RO8.66 billion.
