(MENAFN) Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel), the Sultanate’s biggest telecommunication service provider, announced that its net profit increased by 7 percent to USD248.27 million during the January-September period of this year compared with USD231.96 million registered during the same period last year, Times of Oman reported.
During the first nine months of this year, the telecommunications company said that its revenue grew by 1.7 percent to reach USD925.80 million compared to USD910 million during the corresponding period of 2013, while its expenses increased by 0.2 percent to USD666.90 million compared to USD665.61 million in 2013.
Meanwhile, Omantel group’s customer base touched 4.204 million compared with 4.001 million customers recorded during the same period last year.
