(MENAFN) Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel) posted an increase of 9 percent of net profit in the January-June period, reaching USD170.93 million from USD156.68 million over a year, Times of Oman reported.
Omantel’s revenue signaled a rise during the cited period, increasing from USD619.75 million in 2013 to USD 617.94 million this year.
The company’s revenues from mobiles services registered a 28 percent increase, while fixed broadband rose 35 percent. Additionally, the fixed line business rose 10.5 percent.
Meanwhile, domestic mobiles showed an 18 percent decrease and wholesale business also decreased 4.6 percent in the cited period.
