(MENAFN) A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Ooredoo and Cisco, seeking a collaboration to deliver a Smart City, Cloud and Managed Services technology solutions for enterprises throughout Qatar, The Peninsula Qatar reported.
The two companies’ strong strategic relationship will help the agreement to grow and expand across other areas that will deliver a high level of support, service and delivery of business.
The concept of “Smart City” comes as part of the long-term Qatari National Vision of 2030, where information technology (IT) takes a huge part in enabling new projects of smart economy, smart mobility, a smart environment, and smart governance.
“This strategic framework brings us closer to the world leader in IT, and guarantees our customers that they will benefit from the highest levels of service, and access to the latest innovations. Businesses in Qatar are rapidly modernizing, and looking to deploy the latest and the best solutions. We believe this new strategic framework will deliver a step-change in the range of services and solutions available,” the CEO of Ooredoo Qatar said.
