(MENAFN) Omani Qatari Telecommunications Company (Ooredoo Oman) has registered a 9.5 percent rise in gross profit at USD83.6 million for the Jan-Sept period when compared to the same period last year.
Progress was driven by surges in both mobile and fixed data revenues, and it’s worth mentioning that Income for the cited period jumped by 12.4 percent to UDS483.5 million from USD430.2 million in the prior year.
Furthermore, the company declared that the overall number of customers increased by 10 percent to 2.77 million at the end of the first nine months as opposed to 2.51 million for the same timeframe of 2014.
“The ongoing investment in modernizing and expanding our network is also a factor in customer growth. We will continue to provide the coverage and speed with our expanding 4G footprint,” said Ooredoo’s CEO.
