Opec crude production hikes

(MENAFN) Crude oil production in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec) increased last month, Times of Oman reported.

Oil production by Opec members increased by 0.4 percent, or 116,000 barrels per day (bpd), hitting an average of 31.04 million bpd.

This increase was led by Saudi Arabia as the country produced oil at its highest level in 24 years. The kingdom’s oil production in August increased 150,000 barrels reaching 9.95 million bpd.
