(MENAFN) Orange Business Services, a unit of France Telecom-Orange, has launched a joint venture in Qatar as it seeks to tap into the Gulf state’s ICT expansion plans, Arabian Business reported.
EGN LLC, which will trade in Qatar as Orange Business Services, has been established in partnership with Sheikh Fahad Bin Ghanem [Al Abdul Rahman] Al Thani as the majority shareholder.
The new joint venture company in Qatar is the first of its kind in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region dedicated to large systems integration programmes and operations.
Last year, Orange Business Services set up a company in Saudi Arabia under a growth strategy focused on the developing markets in MEA.
Orange Business Services is seeking to generate USD1.3 billion in revenues from emerging markets by 2015.
