(MENAFN) Xpress Money, one of the globe’s most reliable money transfer brands, has posted a 12 percent growth in payments amid the first two weeks of Ramadan.

Additionally, the increase is reflected in outward payments to S. Asia, the Levant and other parts of the MENA region.

In 2016, a comprehensive Gulf Co-op Council-wide survey by Xpress Money showed that 63 percent of Oman’s expatriates transferred more money to their loved ones amid the month.

Moreover, almost 75 percent of respondents also proclaimed that they spent more time with family, or travelled to their home nations to be with family amid the holy month.
