Philippines aims up to 25 percent of USD 200bn halal market

(MENAFN) Philippine government insists on getting a share of 20 to 25 percent of the USD 200bn global Halal market and it made efforts to achieve the target.

Additionally, the project targets at attracting more tourists and visitors from the GCC and other Muslim nations by promoting the establishment of Halal food restaurants.

Moreover, 117mn Muslim travelers increase to 168mn by 2020, while the market is already there, with arrivals from Malaysia, growing at a double-digit rate.
