(MENAFN) Qatar is ready to pump almost USD13bn on mega infrastructure projects in the country in the coming year with a main focus on projects related to the FIFA World Cup 2020.
Moreover, the country aims to achieve sustainable development and economic diversification and reach its target of 3.4 percent growth in 2017.
Accordingly, the World Cup event is a main driver behind the country’s growth, while GCC neighbors, such as KSA has recorded a budget deficit of almost USD100bn in 2015.
On the other hand, the country’s non-oil sector increased by 5.8 percent this year.
