(MENAFN) Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker stated that the airline has signed an agreement with Boeing Commercial Airplanes according to which Qatar Airways will buy up to nine Boeing 777-300ER planes worth USD2.8 billion, reported Arabian Business.
The CEO of the Qatari airline also said that two of the airplanes are scheduled to be delivered early next year.
Al Baker added that the Doha-based carrier currently operates 35 Boeing passenger and cargo 777s of different types.
