(MENAFN) Qatar Airways plans a move t bid for a stake in Indian low-cost carrier GoAir, Arabian Business reported citing local media.
The media reports in India said the Gulf airline is in talks with GoAir for a possible deal to buy a 40 percent stake.
The reports come two months after it was claimed that both Emirates Airline and Qatar Airways were among those in talks with India’s GoAir.
A spokesperson for GoAir, which operates a fleet of 15 aircraft across a network of 21 destinations, said at the time that the company does not comment on market speculation. GoAir is 100 percent owned by the Nusli Wadia Group.
