Qatar Airways seeks stakes in other airlines

(MENAFN) Qatar Airways, one of the world’s fastest-growing carriers, is looking to build its global presence by purchasing stakes in other airlines, Gulf News reported.

“We’re interested in taking more equity in airlines”, chief executive said, while he wouldn’t reveal any targets or say how big a stake the Airways would take.

It’s worth mentioning that Qatar Airways possesses 10 percent of International Consolidated Airlines Group SA and would like to purchase more of the British Airways parent.
